Mindgammon Inc. is about to launch its star product “Mindgammon”, which the founders of the company claim to be the next generation of backgammon. Christian Bailey, co-founder, and Wayne Hulsen, Chairman of the company, have informed that after two decades of planning, this distant cousin of backgammon is about to see the light.
Hulsen has said he aimed to make the game user-friendly and at the same time challenge the players’ intellect. “It is almost impossible to recover from a bad roll in backgammon, whereas in Mindgammon there is always a chance to recover and opportunity to win,” Hulsen explained.
Players can buy the product from the company’s website and it will also be available in retail stores. Bailey and Hulsen have tested the game in several occasions, during the Chicago Toy and Fair Game and the Toy Fair in New York City. The response they received from the audience was more than encouraging in both circumstances.
The game will be manufactured in high quality beech wood, Polymer and chipboard (MDF) in order to offer a wide range of prices. The retail price of the boards is expected to go from 29.95 to 129.95 dollars.
