A Spaniard gambler was awarded with a millionaire prize in the Euromillions European lottery through a ticket bought online. The exact prize won by this lucky man was 26.938.896 euros and it is the biggest one given so far for a ticket bought online in the history of Spain.
The winning ticket included five main numbers and 2 complementary numbers and it was acquired by the man for only 2 euros. The winning combination included numbers 5, 7, 14, 21, 40 and stars 3 and 8.
The lucky winner said that he couldn’t believe it at first and thought it was all a prank, since he received the news through a phone call. Only after he saw an e-mail from Euromillions that showed that his combination of numbers was the winning one, he realized that he was a millionaire.
Euromillions lotto included only three countries when it first started: Spain, France and the United Kingdom; right now it has expanded and includes the lotteries of Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Luxemburg, Portugal and Switzerland and therefore it covers a giant market of approximately 200 million people.
