Sienna Miller and Keira Knightley confess their love for the game
Actresses Siena Miller and Keira Knightley, who are in Wales filming the upcoming movie The Edge of Love, recently confessed that instead of spending the nights in local pubs, they prefer to play backgammon. Apparently, they have become huge fans of the classic board game.
A friend of both stars said that Miller has been into board games for years and now Knightley has been captivated too. “They think it's hilarious because people assume they would be out on the town every night but instead they are cozied up like a couple of old men, getting all competitive over the backgammon board,” the anonymous friend said.
Sienna, 25, and Keira, 22, say they prefer playing backgammon to big celebrity parties. The actresses, who became good friends since they started filming the movie about Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, also explained that although they are quite competitive, they play backgammon for plain fun.
Backgammon is a board games whose origins go back to Mesopotamia, 5,000 years ago.
